Members' issues and concerns are directly represented to the stakeholders of education in Queensland, including the Minister of Education, Director-General, Deputy Directors-General and senior officers of the Department of Education. QASSP regularly meets with the executives of the Queensland Teachers' Union, P&Cs Queensland, and fellow school leader associations.

Shape the policies and practices that impact leadership of your school. QASSP sits on 48 committees and responds to all education related government policy. On the national stage, QASSP is an active member of the Australian Government Primary Principals Association and the Australian Primary Principals Association. Members have an international voice through the International Confederation of Principals.

Full Membership may be granted to:
  • Principals, Deputy Principals, and Heads of School of Queensland state schools
  • Principals, Deputy Principals, and Heads of School in acting positions for over one semester in a Queensland state school
  • Heads of Campus
  • Those who have held substantive positions as Principals, Deputy Principals, or Heads of School in a Queensland state school but who currently occupy other administrative roles or hold positions in regional offices, central office or are on secondment to the Queensland Department of Education.
