Joyful (adjective): A feeling. Brought about by having fun, which is the confluence of three states – playfulness, connection and flow.
Sandbox (noun): A bounded environment in which to experiment, test ideas, create and learn without risk of causing disruption to other connected systems.

Optional Experience | Walk on Country
Immerse yourself in the culture of the Quandamooka peoples on beautiful Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island). Experience a traditional Welcome to Country at Bummiera (Brown Lake). Visit the former mission site Terra Bulla Leumeah and walk in the footsteps of your guide's ancestors at Capemba (Myora Springs) and the breath-taking Mulumba (Point Lookout). Hear creation stories, share bush foods, see works by local artists. This is your opportunity to build understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing and doing.

Do Agile practices actually work in a school setting? Varsity State College is the largest primary school in Australia. Its size presents unique opportunities and demands ways of working that draw from spheres outside of the traditional education context. See how the application of Agile approaches – built predominately on the principles of flexibility, client satisfaction, collaboration and iterative development – are being applied in this educational context.

In this practical workshop, explore the frameworks and tools that support school leaders to support others. Through an exploration of concepts including Psychological Safety and Self Determination Theory, discover how leadership teams can create the conditions for all members of their staff to be their best at work. This is an opportunity to reflect on what is needed in order to thrive professionally and personally.
